Waterfalls
Many water falls and rapids exist as the St. Louis River flows through the Park onto Lake Superior. One of the most popular attractions is the swinging suspension bridge above the raging St. Louis River. Great place to stop to get out of the car. Suspension bridge is 150 feet from parking lot. Incredible geological formations will be noticed on this park.

Picnic area (including 2 shelters)
The two areas include River Inn by the main office and Oldenburg Point by the St. Louis River. Oldenburg Point shelter overlooks the St. Louis River and includes a fireplace plus electricity. It is an open shelter. The River Inn shelter located near the park office is enclosed and includes a fireplace and electric outlets. Shelters can be reserved by calling the park.

Hiking
Park trails link up to the Willard Munger State Trail at the north edge of the park, perfect for backpackers, bikers (both mountain and tour), hikers, horseback riders, and skiers. Check out the wildflowers in the spring, and the vivid colors in the fall.

Camping
80 Drive-in Sites Most are wooded sites.In winter, 12 sites are kept available for winter camping. Of these, five are electric sites. 1 pull through site, 21 Electric Sites, All sites are 20 and 30 amps. Five electric sites are available year-round. RV Length Limit 60 Feet. Length is measured from front of tow vehicle to rear of vehicle being towed. 3 Handicapped Accessible Sites are located near drinking water. Two sites are electric, one is non-electric. 4 Backpack Sites are located from 1 to 4 miles from parking area. Each site has picnic table, fire ring and latrine. Campers must haul water or treat water on site. 3 Walk-in Sites are located 50 to 150 feet from parking area. 2 Group Camp Sites are tents only, no RVs. Each site can accommodate up to 30 people. Group camp will be available until September 29.

Lodging
1 Camper Cabin sleeps 5 (ADA accessible only in summer. Call park about access to cabin in winter.) Cabin has screened porch, electricity and heat and is available year-round.

Snowshoeing
4 Miles of trails, some of these trails are packed and marked for snowshoeing and hiking. Otherwise, all areas of the park are open for snowshoeing. Trails are easy to difficult trails. Snowshoers must keep off groomed ski trails. Park rents snowshoes for $6 per day

Cross-Country Skiing
32 Miles of Easy to difficult trails. The farther you get from the park office, the more difficult the trail.

Snowmobiling
6 Miles of snowmobile trails in the park connects with 14 miles of the Munger State Trail.
